Basswood
Elm is nearly as hard as red oak. Basswood is softer than poplarI am thinking an Elm.
Elm splits bad though. I was really leaning towards a maple with the straight grainI am thinking an Elm.
Don’t think it’s sugar either.It cut like a maple but doesn't feel dense enough. Unless it's a maple but not silver.
Nahhh. I don’t know anything about a basswood. Never seen one. Don’t know much bout this tree here eitherOr a basswood.
