Not sure what this is suppose to mean... I buy/sell/swap traps. The ones pictured are 175 #1.5 and #2 long springs that I picked up a month or so ago. I will trade some especially the 1.5's.

It's a joke, he is joking that the two of you met at Pierre's Hole in 1832 - two trappers out and about running into each other. It is interesting the varied hobbies people have here outside of OPE. One of our local stores here sells traps, not sure how much trapping is done up here, probably more than I realize. Apparently one of the cable channels (Discovery, History??) was supposed to do a show on a guy up here trapping...though the last few winters have been kind of weak so not sure if they did any shooting or not.

Last year there was a guy on this site looking for a #4 or #5 coilspring. He saw a picture on the internet where a guy had built a door bell from one. The trap was a full round jaw but a smaller trap. The #4 and #5 coils are not round jaw. I called all over the US and Canada trying to find something close. I ended up getting a new Victor #4 that was as close as can be found. I bought it from a guy in Canada. That trap is still here. I did talk with a gentleman in the Montana area that custom builds coilsprings. He did make a large full round at one time but no longer was. I talked with a few fur buyers in the northern US and Canada. I was amazed at what the coyotes in that area were selling for. Here no one traps them as they are worthless vermin. We have a 365 day hunting season on them. During the trapping season we are allowed to night hunt with thermal imaging and AR-15s. Some groups have hunting contests so those get brought back to the check in. The majority of times folks leave them where they fall or hang them on fence posts.

I never knew McCulloch manufactured saws for Montgomery Wards. That saw is in great shape with little use as shown. Still has the original 50yr old pull handle. Sweet
