Got a guy that just bought another 4300 with this bar and chain setup.
I cut them out on all mine (3).I noticed a gain after cutting them out
No...I bend the gills more upright with a flat blade. Seems a good compromise between noise and performance.Yeah I opened the up a Little with a flat screw driver. Did you cut them right out?

3/8 lo prowhats 63 ps .325? If that pulls it well. I'll have to try it
How come this customer wants the full 18" bar set up on the 4300 Steve ?It was in the basement...
I setup two of these back in July for a photoshoot. One was on one of my saws and the other was on a customer's saw.
Couple days ago he wanted another setup just like it so I put that bar on a new saw.
It's a full 18" past the spike bar. Setup with 67 drivers of 63PS. Normal 18" bars this mount are 62 drivers.
It's for an Arborist and he uses it in up on the tree. Whether he is climbing or in the bucket. How come this customer wants the full 18" bar set up on the 4300 Steve ?
IPL, multilingualDoes anyone have any info or maybe a repair manual for the Dolmar PS-3410TH tree saw?
Mine is giving me trouble, acting real weird, and I'm getting ready to rebuild the carb. But I notice that this saw has reed valves and I know almost nothing about reed valve engines. Do you do anything different when testing for vacuum/pressure leaks? Anything else I should look at?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Jeff
50cc class fits in here just fine Wilhelm.
I was looking for a PS-5105 for a long while, missed out on two, waited too long on a PS-4600Speed and missed her too.50cc class fits in here just fine Wilhelm.
You couldn't resist the ps- 550 I see
I couldn't make my mind up on the ps-550 when i ran it....no complaints with the way it starts and pulls the chain though.I was looking for a PS-5105 for a long while, missed out on two, waited too long on a PS-4600Speed and missed her too.
I widened my search to the PS-550 and AJ comes along selling one - long story short, I bit.
First impressions indicate a fun saw.
