When You utilize the versatile PS-6400/7300/7310/7900 saw family for literally everything then the PS-4600 is a little one!I wouldn't call the PS-4600S a "little one" – this one and her bigger sister PS-5000 are fully grown-up adult saws IMHO.
I remember when I did use my first PS-5000 for the first time, previously having had a couple of 115i in the 50 cc class,
I was overwhelmed by the sheer power she offered and the speed she went through the timber. It felt like whole class above the 115.
Next thing I did was porting my 115i to make her catch up to the 5000 ...
Love both of them
I can relate to this. I have a few days of cutting to do over the weekend and I'm deliberately leaving the 7900 at home to force me into giving the 460 a run. I know if I have the 7900 I will just run that for everything. When You utilize the versatile PS-6400/7300/7310/7900 saw family for literally everything then the PS-4600 is a little one!
Cute saw, I need to run her and my freak PS-460 more often when the job at hand allows for it.

I'd bring the 79'er along, just in case there is anything bigger that needs dismantling!
Sir, yes Sir!Hell, you probably bring a trailer full of just saws!
You need another!I take back what I said. C85 once round filed is incredible!
I really can't understand why this little saw likes 3/8 so much. When I originally got bought it, it came with 73LPX and I swapped it over to 325 because I "knew" better than the people that made it.
17 years later I can confidently say I was wrong. It's amazingly powerful for 46cc. I must have done something right when I swapped it's piston and rings a few years back. I feel bad for leaving it on the shelf for so long.
I don't think they were sold here, the 5000 was for a few years.I'm a fan of that saw series, wish I could stumble across a 5105 here in Oz, I only ever seem to find 500's though.
