Picked this up earlier today, looks like a good midsize saw. Pretty good condition, one AV spring was tight, but not seated properly, fixed that, otherwise and clean and happy days. Weighed in at 2kg lighted than my 7901 (it has a 28'' bar) and 1.7kg heavier than my EA4300 so a good middle ground saw. I noted the throttle feels a little squishy and takes a bit of grip to hold WOT, that normal? Used contact cleaner on all the joints and carby, everything looks to move fine etc.

Congratulations on Your addition!
That is one grunty "50cc" saw, I love mine.
Definitely less tiring to wield than the 7900 series saws.

I never noticed any difference in throttle lever feel between my 5k through 9k, but due to my daily work I do have a firm grip so I may simply not register any differences.

Thanks for the subtle "work on your grip strength" hahaah.

Are you running a 3/8'' chain? I kinda of want to swap to 0.325 NK, but I have no good reason to really. I'm hoping to get it into some wood in September and get a load of woof for my father inlaw.

I am running 3/8" 56DL full chisel Husqvarna X-Cut and she pulls this B&C setup like a champ!

I think I had a .325" B&C setup on her once, semi chisel chain though.
But IIRC that setup didn't load the PH too well and I went back to 3/8".

Muffler gutted and outlet opened up, had never uncrimped a muffler before, was surprisingly easy, some black paint and back on

Easier and faster than grinding and welding, and most likely better looking too. ;)

Now with muffler mod, blacked out muffler and spike, outer spike is yet to arrive. It like about 1/8turn on the high speed richer and a little fiddling with the low speed. Early September I'll be able to cut a full load of wood with it.

Ran almost a whole tank of fuel through this little gem, then hit steel wire embedded in the bark.
Residential pear tree takedown, NOT FUN NOR WORTH IT!!!

Gonna take a look what is left of the loop, see whether it is worth sharpening or just scrap metal.

In regards to my Dolmar PS-311TH chain, one tooth broke clean off all RH side are bent backwards.

She deserves a new chain so I gave her a brand new full chisel Stihl 3/8Picco courtesy of Sondre @SOS Ridgerider .
Thank You my friend! :beer-toast1:

My little Dolmar PS-3400TH came out to play.
She is noticeably more powerful than my PS-311TH - LOVE ! 😍

This is nearly one tank of fuel worth of work, not too bad considering the small volume it holds.

Cut first load of wood with it today, 2 cubes of eucalyptus, I was really happy with it. In this size timber it certainly didn't feel like a slouch and I needed my 7901, it cut really well.

No, she's no slouch!
Keep Your chain sharp and rakers to specs and she will zip through lumber is if she were a larger bore saw.

I used my PS-550 the other day to noodle a bunch of birch rounds, occasionally bar fully buried!
Pics on phone, gonna dig them out...

Edit/P.S.:
You may have noted it before and I missed it.
What B&C setup are You running on Your EA5600?
