Carburetor adjustment or left air leakage into the engine

check for air leak...pressure/vac test...and probably rebuild the carb.

Heys Studs,

Just picked a nice Stihl 025 runs strong at full throttle and cuts like beast...yet it cuts out when I ease up of the trigger.
I will fire right back up...but does the same thing!
Running TruFuel 40:1

Any ideas of the problems or places to start?

Mix up a gal of real gas and decent oil.... trufuel is absolute garbage IMO, and have several saws that do NOT run on it at all...and not just stihl, but stihl, poulan, and husqvarna....
