I'd love to run a 362cm that was roided up
Can't say I'm big on that saw. Boss man got 4 new saws for his company. Stihl 150t x2. Love em. 461. It's ok. And a 661 and I think stihl drove the nail home on that saw power to weight it is a great saw stock. My 2 cents. I will buy a 150t hopefully soon

We have a couple 201t's that are toilets, and one excellent 201tc that is strong. We don't have any truly modern saws other than a 562xp at. Crap, I think my 2012 7910 is the next newest sword we have

Picked up this 2002 MS260 off CL dirt cheap, advertised as parts saw. Cosmetically, it looked as if it had never been cleaned, it appeared to be covered in wet saw dust and soil that had dried on the exterior and chain and recoil cover was packed full of debris.

Wipe down revealed nicely preserved plastics.. Pulled on 3 times and it started, sprayed fuel and black smut everywhere.

Compression @80 psi... Got to pick up torx tool tomorrow to remove cylinder to see how badly damaged it is, torx socket too big for cylinder bolt aces hole. Feeling blessed with find though...

Just added a brandy new ms 362 cm to complete my collection (yeah, I am done...right) and after a few days of running this my opinion is registered above....what a dog!!!! Yes I have been spoiled from a few years of having all my saws modded and my 261 with just a basic mod will blow this saw away...but lucky for me I have an appointment on the 17th to have it ported and it will be my go to saw for up in the air big cuts and day to day use likely. I expect a DRASTIC difference.

You saw mod guys just amaze me and that goes back to in around 1975 at the Hunterdon County fair large chainsaw competition my saw guy, Ralph Lubosco from Ralph's Mower Sales in Hightstown NJ (http://new-jersey.building-material.org/123358-ralph_s_lawn_mower_repairs.htm).. built me a 41 I believe it was that just blew away everyone including other saw shop guys. You guys are great but it also takes us saw connoisseurs to truly appreciate you :-) Plus it took me to run it or someone else mighta fkd up and dropped a partial cut or worse.

Re: the 362 C ... Mod the muff & give it some break in time, often about 10 tanks before it really comes into it's own.

Randy ported mine, and with the timing advance it runs quite well, right in there with other ported 60 cc saws.

treemonkey repaired and ported this 028 for me, it was quite the pile before it got repaired. its a little beast now with a load of grunt.
i plan on adding elastostart so my dad can use it and replace the bar since the tip and groove has seen better days.
