I was seriously thinking about buying a new Stihl saw and just ditching my MS-660 FarmerTec clone because now it appears it has carb problems and the carb I was thinking about is sold out on HLS. I think the adjustment screws move by themselves even with the rubber insert installed.
So, reading the negative reviews of the Stihl pro saws I come across this negative 1 star review
"462 is the biggest joke that stihl has ever made. Bought one in august 2020 it lasted for 9 months. Locked up, took it back and Sean at stihl told me that the saw was not made to be used to make money with that it had 3000 hrs on it and been started 2700 times, and warranty will not pay for it to be fixed. "
So,Stihl has gone full blown creepy big brother with a black boxed saw? I wonder how long before it uses DRM to spy on you (John Deere), deny access to the saw, or check to see if you used OEM air filters or carbs or if you used it on it's side for too long for a chainsaw mill. Though I liked my Husky 385 a lot, I did not buy any 5## Husqvarna saws that require a dealer to reprogram the saw when you do something as simple as change the carb.
I regret getting rid of my 066 (my favorite chainsaw) because at the time I was not confident to rebuild it though I was a certified truck mechanic, I figured apples to oranges on that one. Though the 372 and 385 Husky were good replacement saws.
So, I guess any 4## saw from Stihl is out of the question along with the 500i?
Is this saw truly creepy spy software free?

"This chainsaw features a simple, proven and non-electronic design."
No 1 or 2 star reviews, so, that is a plus. Though at this point I am tempted just to find another carb and just suffer with the unreliable inferior clones.
I guess from reading the threads Stihl owns Zima and the stock jet is
"064/066/MS650/MS660 = 1122 120 0621 with .64 jet"
Is there a Zima or Walbro carb you would recommend or is the FarmerTec H20660 really worth spending the $32 on? I am pretty sure that is what is on the saw now.
