sticky wet snow plus 60MPH gusts is a bad combo.

i think i need a tree guy with a crane; i'm not sure i can safely cut away enough of that 24" dia Norwegian Maple without it rolling over me or causing more damage.

a wise man (clint eastwood as dirty harry) once said, "a man has got to know his limitations"...

i'll look it over in the daylight and figure out a plan. what you can't see from those dark photos is that there are actually three trees involved in this attempted murder of my shop: the maple, a pine, and a cherry. they combined forces yet the workshop did not yield (that much: there is a 3ft x 6ft penetration through the roof, and i counted qty 5 broken 2 x 8 rafters).

guys, decision time: the tree service company guys brought Stihl saws with them.
i don't think these are good enough saws to handle my problem project.
now i don't know whether to tell them to leave or tell them to take the trees off my shop.

oh the dilemma!

i may have to make an exception to my go-Dolmar-or-go-home policy this one time.
