Am doing. The 'Klingons' are still evading me for the time being. Looking to have a set of those as well.
Where did you get them from again? I would like to order a set or 2 myself.ni have a stock set I would trade for a euro set

The Klingon spikes are my favorite.

See with Shane which ones he has since they have been NLA new for a long while!

The place I got them from goes by Spare Parts World. Cannot search by part number, have to search for schematic, then add to cart from list. $50 or so shipped.

Left to right, Euro, Klingon/Star Trek (US Style 1), current US Style 2

They are probably the happy medium. I don't have any Doug Fir bark where I am to deal with. Chestnut oak is about the gnarliest stuff I get into and the middle spikes would be absolutely fine for it. Some have said the muffler will touch sometimes with the Euros. One of my older saws has a lightly dented muffler. Gives it 'character'. :)

Next time you are in your spike stash, can you do an overlap shot showing the Klingon sitting on top of the US spikes? To give idea of depth difference. It is quite a lot from US to Euro. I would guess at least an inch.

Here is an alternative:
DOLMAR european spec (top, orange cover) vs. SOLO 681 dawg (bottom, black cover):

My PS9000 has a perfectly working Bing carb setup, is there any point changing it to a 9010 setup? Already have the 9010 flywheel and ignition.

Maybe I have this the wrong way around, but isn't the Bing the more desirable carb.

Also, weren't the 9000 coils turning higher rpm (13500 ) than the 9010 coils (12800)?

I am at work, tired.
I could be wrong.

9010 13500, in my opinion nothing wrong with the Bing, I fitted 9010 ignition set to a 9000, left the max RPM at 12800, no need to stress the old girl! plus it does do it's best work at high revs as we all know it's a slugger!

Had a cold shower and checked specs, yes I had that backwards.

The PS-7310 & PS-7910 went to slower coils compared to the PS-6400/7300/7900.

Sorry, my bad!!!

Yeah, the 9010 likes to chug along at high loads, she's a long bar saw.

That MIKRON SACHS-DOLMAR is a rare find, congratulations!

Do you have more info about the MIKRON saws? As far as I know, they were assembled in former Yugoslavia by "Kooperacija Mikron" either in license from Sachs-Dolmar or form parts supplied by the german factory.
Do you know which models were produced?

Hello Henry

I have been told this:
- when Dolmar suspended 112 production Mikron Yugoslavia (later Nikola Tesla, Belgrade Serbia) bought up all remaining stock of parts and did their own assembly & distribution
- that been said "Micron Sachs-Dolmar" labeled units are supposedly the last 112 production run, parts made in Germany but units assembled in Yugoslavia

From a technical aspect there should be no difference in parts quality nor power to the German assembled 112's, although assembly quality control may have been on a lower level.

I have not looked into whether other models were assembled by Mikron.
I can ask my source of Dolmar history information.
