That MIKRON SACHS-DOLMAR is a rare find, congratulations!

Do you have more info about the MIKRON saws? As far as I know, they were assembled in former Yugoslavia by "Kooperacija Mikron" either in license from Sachs-Dolmar or form parts supplied by the german factory.
Do you know which models were produced?
Apparently a couple other models have been assembled by Mikron.
Pictures are courtesy of my source.

Few more new parts later and its all finished with a 9010 coil, new ignition switch and stop wire. Saw now crisply shuts off from the switch, damn I forgot how much compression it has, nearly put my shoulder out, you really need to commit to starting it, no half effort. I also epoxied up the bar adjustment holes, they intersected the oil channel and half the oil didnt make it to the bar, much better now.

You may want a full chisel for that beast, she'd like it!

It has been a while since I last ran mine, or any of mine actually. :(

I did an online search for an operator‘s manual for PS6000i/PS6800i and found a version that‘s in Deutsch. It looks to be dated 2003 and what I found interesting was the oil mix ratio chart (here we go). You could mix the fuel 100:1 if using Dolmar 100HP oil! I guess I have never heard mention of this oil, only amsoil at that ratio.

I have seen it mentioned, never bothered to look it up.

Stihl & Husqvarna have 100:1 oils too I believe.

I’m planning on running this big boy tomorrow. I’ll put a video up if it all works out. Went thru the fuel system today. Installed an OEM oil line that runs behind the muffler and glued down the rear handle. Had not noticed until today that the handlebar is bent good :( . I was able to find one from Heinrich Derksen (Tobder25 on the bay) so I ordered it. He’s the best when it comes to old Dolmar parts. Anyway, here she is. image.jpg

it didn’t work out. It ran long enough to get the carb adjusted and the oiler functioning before it quit. Lost its spark :( .

I found its spark. Somebody had installed a chip in it and I replaced it to check it and it worked. I’ll leave it for now. Uncovered some serious damage to the flywheel case half. 2 of the 4 attach points for the flywheel cover are broken off. Were glued on???.
I was able to locate a case half along with other stuff needed to bring this saw back so I’ve got a project for this winter. (Or right now if the heat keeps up). It’s not all bad.

Here’s my CX running, briefly, but running. Hope you like!
That saw did not stop, it burned through the wood.

Now put the chain on the correct way and make another video! 😁
