The carbon edition was offered IIRC around late 2013 and 2014 when selling rates of the 6100 seemed not to meet the company's expectations. Can't tell you how many factury supplied 6100-CE shipped but once in a while you'll find one and saws with customer-applied carbon-foil-look as well.
If any of the 6100 will make as a collector's item, it probably will be the CE

I did some additional diggin into this topic.
So what I found was: The carbon edition (CE) wasn't public available but rather intended to be an incentive for dealers which moved a certain amount of 6100-boxes. When you as a dealer ordered at least n PS-6100, you were eligible to buy a carbon-edition as well.
No provisions of what to do with it: Put it in your showroom, give it to premium customers or sell it to whatever conditions you like.
That's just the rumors about the deal I could find about 10 years later...

I believe it to be a very early one. No decomp or chainbrake, and the castings on the saw are all dated 1978.

Are you asking if I have parts? Aside from a cover or two, no. 166 stuff is hard to find. I’m on the hunt for another cylinder myself.
