The 6100 drum needle bearing doesn't feature any plastic components!

That is plastic from somewhere else, make sure that there is none of it inside the needle bearing.

I did some test fitting of my custom made bar adapter, large frame Dolmar (D009) to 12mm (Stihl)

Well, it matters not because I also made D033 14mm bar adapters.



Yes, I made them, my first ones.
I will make some minor alterations to any future batch.

These are not universal, they will only fit the 64xx/73xx/79xx series.

OK, here is another one of these small japanese electric SACHS-DOLMARS:
A model 200.
For me it looks absolutely the same as my 260 but from looking at the owner's manual that
came with my SD-200, They made 2 versions of this saw:
- an early one rated 1000 W and
- a followup rated 1050 W
Mine is the stronger one, but since it looks exactly like my 260 and even has the same power rating I assume they simply renamed type 200 to type 260 at some point in time. who knows?




I think I have all different Shindaiwa-built electric Sachs-Dolmars now.
In my electric saw's department of my collection still missing are Sachs-Dolmar 219, probably built by BOSCH and the Sachs-Dolmar 201. For the latter one I at least own factory branded NIB replacement bar.

Sure, because the real "large frame" ones like 143, 153 and 166 were history by the time

Stihl bars in my area tend to be hard nose and those rob a whole lot of power.
Also, why would I ever even consider getting and running a Stihl bar when the Dolmar bars hold up so well?

I just made those adapters because I felt like it.
Now that they came out that nice I want to make more, even though I do not need a single one.

Reasonably fresh pine, but still nice chips indeed. Did spent a fair amout sharpening the chain compared to round filing. I liked the experience though. Always nice to try something new.

Archive pic for your pleasure, taken when my SD-153 was my biggest saw and even
2 ~60cc saws where needed to fill the picture of my "big saws".

Except the bottom 116si and the PS-6800i the saws are still with me.

My favorite on this saw series.

I got two sets from the US, which is Your best bet since they tend to uprade their saws to the larger US Style 2 spikes.
