Right, Dolmar name isn't gone but the factory no longer is named Dolmar but Makita Engineering Germany and the official manufacturer (according to type labels) of all current Dolmar product is Makita Belgium.
Dolmar since about 3 or 4 years is merely a brand of Makita but no longer a distinct company.

good statement @old_sir_henry

I try too defend Dolmar as much as I can and feel strongly about them

but there pricing since February of this year has been all over the place
And no consistent stock levels too focus on
For instance last year I couldn’t get any ps-352’s now there
Rock bottom price and plenty too pick from

and winter price list hasn’t arrived yet over a month late

What’s happening really is a shame. They have good products at competitive prices, but no backing whatsoever from their owners. Now with no more research being done in the gasoline powered field, I think the brand will be just turned off. Whatever remaining will just be labeled Makita, especially as battery power becomes more and more popular.

It sounds like there may be one or two of those bluE saws
You like @SOS Ridgerider been found in the Makita warehouse
Can’t remember the model number though haven’t touched one
In months

Had a good tip from a customer who runs a small forestry and arb business
And he’s got three dolmar’s big and small
And the 7910 he takes up the tree on big cut downs
And he’s flooded it. A few times by leaving the on off switch in
The off position which he got pee’d off with

and he done some swapping around and found a Husqvarna hedge trimmer rocker switch fits and this is a spring return so always live

I believe there is a spring return switch for Husqvarna chainsaw that is a direct fit also. I want to say 540T maybe? I'm sure it was one of the top handle saws.

Those are slick. I do believe the return to run switches from the trimmers and blowers will fit the saws too. I have one on my 371XP.

The 5100S has a non-easy start recoil, right? To install this type of recoil on the 5105 you would also need the 5100S flywheel?
My 5100S does not have the easy start. My Makita 5001 does. I believe you can swap just the starter pawls off the flywheel along with the easy start recoil. I plan on doing that with the 5001.

Dan is right. I have this set up on one of my 5105s. The flywheels are identical.
