Nope...Subaru /Robin were mixed up in the early ones i think...the MM4 is now a Makita product and has no cam belt drive unlike the Honda motors ...also a true 4 stroke.

Think I read somewhere Makita has acquired Robin couple of years ago.
If correct, the MM4 engines are (improved?) Robin ones.

The one in the picture looks like the Makita version of the MS-4300.4, 43 cc, 1.5 kW.

I have a Dolmar MS-4300.4 U weedeater. Very fine machine, has lots of torque and ist extremely
economical. Acceleration is not its prime skill but that's totally OK for a weedeater

I really like the MM4 motors myself.
Yea...Makita have had Robin for a while now and a few of there machines were still based on Robin designs .
Improved design .....maybe a few small changes but the concept was a good one from the get go I think.

Dolmar 115 / 115H / 115i parts are still in stock in Germany, most European dealers/members should be able to help with new parts.

Seems like there was several different brake styles on that saw. Some pics would be good

Unfortunately not true for pre 1989 SACHS-DOLMAR 115 brake parts.
Used brake covers with working innards are offered in german ebay from time to time.
Single spares and espc. the infamous weight-holder are next to unavailable.

I own a couple Sachs-Dolmar units and know that parts are mostly NLA, which is why I did not comment on those but only the "Dolmar" ones.

I do not know the changes made to the 115 units from production start till the end, nor do I know which parts are interchangeable!

This may help you work out the cover and the rough age of saw you have....Ignore the 111 as the 115 has the same parts.
