More pics of my 166. The saw has a unique history and is very likely the oldest 166 in the world: The serial number is 166/02 so its the second ever built in a pre production run.
It has been used in the factory by Dolmar's test department and therefore missing spike bars which simply are of no use in a test bench. I bought some aftermarket black powder-coated spikes.
Apparently the saw has received a couple of new spare parts during her life in test facility:
Piston and cylinder are in nearly mint condition, the cylinder has a deco-valve, which wasn't available at production start.
The muffler is a late version, the rough welding on its exhaust is "factory supplied", the decals were next to mint.
The hood had a crack at the left side above the rear mounting screws.
I bought her from a Dolmar employee who saved this beauty from being scrapped and kept her in his collection for several years.
I'm very happy to own this extraordinary saw.
