Received a couple of boxes in the mail from my friend @Wilhelm the other day. He helped me get a hold of a few nice Dolmar parts. The Dolmar tool kit and 6100 Euro spike were complete surprises, though, and his generosity and willingness to help is rare nowadays.

More of the goodies he sent me. The bar plates are NLA in the US, and will allow me to run rear bar studs in my 9000 and 9010, and not have to use funky DL counts on certain bar and chain combos.

Pics look good enough for a factory brochure.

Would they still be producing the 166 ...

This 166 is the only of my saws so far I took to a certain location in the nearby woods to take pics.
She of course deserves this kind of treatment if any saw does.

There is a coil and some kind of trigger, it/ you can diagnose what the failed component is?

I have the same saw, 133S same defective Trigger module, there are articles on the Web implying a Nova 11 or an Oregon 53-053 ignition module will replace the failed trigger component.
Have you ever heard if thats true?

I have the same saw, 133S same defective Trigger module, there are articles on the Web implying a Nova 11 or an Oregon 53-053 ignition module will replace the failed trigger component.
Have you ever heard if thats true?

I can't say to have tried on this particular application, however I have used the Nova II, Kawasaki and Stihl modules to save a lot of different saws with only a very few being the exception.
I would give it a 85% chance of success.
Which is worth trying in my book, even if it does fail, the chip is inexpensive enough to save and have around for the next go around. At least that's the way I look at it.

How did you make it to fell that limb without destroying the barbed wire fence?
Took the top out first ( pic 2) as it would clear the fence when it landed....then put the tractor in front of the main butt with the grab opened and in contact at the top , left a hinge and let it down till the grab could be closed then lifted the bottom 3 mtr-10ft away. :)

Got a new Makita 5000. It appears the high carb adjustment tool is a dealer only item. I got a Performance Tool carb set and the DD don't work. Don't seem to have enough relief to get to the DD flats. Anyone find a specific tool which will work and a place to buy one? Thanks

My 6100 had this problem. A straight groove cut in to it eliminated that problem.

And welcome fellow Kansan.
Do you happen to be in the NE part of the state?

Not sure how I would get to it to cut a slot, lol. Not easily accessible.
