Wow, les than 24 hours off and I find almost 2 pages filled with new stuff.

For the 7900, I'd say the saw is extremly homesick and needs to be sent back to its home country,
better yet close to its place of origin ... However, different decisions seem to have been made ...




PS-342 is very rare, I haven't seen one either, same goes for PS-380.

PS-390 I currently own 4 of them with 2 being NIB.

And for the SD-100 -- here comes one

this one is a late one, approx 1988 or even later. It has the new style hoods invented with the duplex idle system an WT-174 carbs.

Then SD-102 would be even more of your liking: Same size and weight but noticeable more power.

Thanks to everyone who help me figure out what to do with the new 7900. Sounds like theses saw are in a league of there own and when ported are even better! I'm into this 7900 pretty cheap and definitely have some room in the budget on it for a port job without going backwards. I think I will be keeping this saw for awhile. Probably leave it in the box and put it away as I finish up a few other saw builds I have on the bench right now. Think when I get around to this one I will talk to a few builders and pick one to send it off For a "waking up"... lol

I see HL has a HyWay 7900 top end kit for $55. I got a builder saw for cheap that needs a top end. I want to try my own porting. I think that's a really affordable way to get into the game. Anyone else taking advantage of that?
