Definitely not a PS-30, since there is no such saw.
Its one of the so called "hobby-Dolmars", looking at the pic probably a PS-39, that is 39ccm and 2.3 HP (DIN) but could be one of the other than displacement identical 33ccm saws as well. To determine, you'll need to meter the bore: 37mm Ø would be 33 ccm (PS-33, PS-330, PS-340, PS-341 or PS-344) 40mm Ø bore would be 39ccm, model names PS-39, PS-380, PS-390, PS-400, PS-401, PS-410 or PS-411.
Some of this models were designated for certain sales channels or created for special marketing campaigns and thus not available in every market.
This thread seems to be sleeping well...
Hello wake up everyone!
Last question was about an unidentified Dolmar of the "hobby" class, internal model designations
021 (for 33ccm displacement motors) and 028 (39 ccm displacement).
To add some more information to the context, here are some pics of an PS-390, which is a 028, that is 39 ccm, 1.7 kW (2.3 HP DIN) and entirely identical with a PS-400 only with orange hoods rather than
black ones and most saws of this type don't have a built-in chain-tensioner but need Quickset / Intenz bars. I don't know if this model ever was available outside Germany.

However, a PS-390 (not the one in the pics) was the first saw I rebuilt and still is the saw
I most often use, since she's very lightweight and very powerful after she has undergone a little muffler mod.
The saw pictured here has undergone a muffler mod as well, but it had been too extreme in terms of noise, so I reversed of it by welding close part of the exhaust opening and thus burning part of the nickel coating of the muffler. Thats why I painted it heat resistant black.

Send it to me, I'll give it a good home!Hi everyone. I'm not sure where to post this so here it lands. I picked up a "NIB" 7900 over the weekend. The price was right so I put my hand up and wouldn't you know, it ended up going home with me! So now what.....? I'm more of a Husky guy and not sure if I would appreciate this thing for what it is like some others on here might, but I have yet to even hear a 7900 run..... The problem is, they are only "NIB" once and I'm not sure I want to be the guy putting fuel into it.
So my question is:
Do I sell it now as is and let the next guy get a true one owner saw. If so, what do you all think it's worth?
Do I fuel it up and run it for awhile to see if I like it? Making it a low hour saw...
Or do I send her off to get some magic done by someone knowing these saws....
This cad thing hit me hard and fast! Lol but I have yet to sell a saw.... and if I want to keep going and keep the wife happy I will at some point need to start selling and trading as I go. That would make it more of a hobby and less of a hoarding addiction. Lol
Here's some pics.

I could see that happening.....If you run it you’ll never get rid of it.
What is the real number on something like this saw? Any idea?
Not sure where to look...? Lol
I'd be happy to see with some guidance
What do you mean? I haven't found any selling like this one. I've seen a few in real nice shape asking around the $650 or so mark. But those are still used. not sure what they sold/sell for new. I know this one is pre 7910 Series or what ever there on to now...Have you googled it yet?
Wasn't planning on it.You selling it now? lol
