Hey Steve,

Have you ever did a muffler mod or ported a Poulan 5020?
Just curious a guy has one for $50---hasn't run in two yrs he says...

Actually I have modded the muffler on one and went through the fuel system on it and it ran fairly well after that.
Trouble is you can buy them new for around $200.00, so not worth doing a whole lot of repairs to.
Unless it runs and cuts I wouldn't give much $ for it.

Wise council indeed, thanks Steve!

Do any of you guys have one of these "Poulan Sprocket Nose" bars that the label is in nice shape? If anyone could get me a good picture of one I think my wife might be able to design a cut a decal to match it.Screenshot_20210723-222121_Firefox.jpg

Buying a ring for poulan 2000. Ipl lists two part no’s based on date code/serial.
1. before Date Code/Serial #1890001 is part no. 530023789
2. After Date Code/Serial #1890001 is part no. 530025875
Since the piston I am using is not original to the saw it’s going in I need to know what difference there is between the two pistons and/or rings so I can make an educated guess.

Are the corresponding cylinders the same part number for both date code/serial number ranges?

I got 2 Craftsman 358 saws that have the same problem. I think this is a Poulan 3400. The plastic pull starter is broken. Been looking for one no luck. Is there anything else I can do? The saw are in good shape.

Do you have measurements on them Mark? I have a bunch of new seals in a box of new Poulan parts I ended up with but all the seals are loose with no packaging.

I'll check next week when I am back in the shop JJ. They are a peculiar design with a flange that locks them in place (with corresponding grooves in the clamshell halves).

Does anyone have an IPL for the micro 25 with Powersharp to share with me?

It’s on the Poulan website, imagine that! lol

Go to poulanpro.com, then Support, then Owners Manuals, then enter “XXV”.

The IPL & OM will both pop up. Select the IPL & it’s on the right side of page 5.

Hi all,

I have a pp4620avx and I'm looking for an IPL for the carburetor. I have google'd several diagrams but nothing with the part numbers and descriptions. I want to take the carb off and give it a good cleaning. I also want to know how to adjust the carb. I know that these saws aren't thought of very highly, but it is perfect for what I need it for, which is the occasional cutting down smaller trees and cutting wood gifted to me to cut up then split for firewood.

tia,
s4l
