So the boy was over Saturday night. Was telling me the S25DA I gave him wouldnt start. Then he goes on to extoll the virtues of his 455 Rancher and MS661C that both have primers. I said the old stuff was made for grownups, so I expected him to have trouble(he's 31);)
I went by and picked it up today. "SOMEONE" cross threaded the gas cap. No seal=no positive pressure in fuel system= no worky.
Found a buddy with a spare cap. Had to replace the rotten duckbill. Now it worky.
Where can I find the replacement duck bill for the fuel cap on the Super XXV DA?

Mine isnt OEM. Its a workaround, but works well. I use a short piece of ink pen ink tube. The db valve fits tightly on that. Drill out the hole in the cap until tue pen tube just fits or add a drop of super glue. Press db valve over pen tube. 1102191328.jpg 1102191328a.jpg 1102191329.jpg

Got time to work on the 330.

This saw was filthy. The amount of gunk was insane. Gave it a good clean, installed new sp, installed new AV mounts (2 were torn off) and modded the muffler. Tomorrow I'm gonna work on the clutch and mod the muffler more.

First pics is the saw disassembled and it before it was cleaned:

After pictures: nice and clean.

I removed the welded hut covering the hole on the muffler, it's 100% open now.

Huh?? I don't seem to see any noticeable dirt on your pics. IMHO that saw looks pretty clean

It was pretty dirty. There was a build up all in the sprocket, clutch, muffler, starter coil cover ect. Didn't take long to clean up

20191106_185442.jpg Working on a plan for a pair of mufflers for the 3.7. Probably open the factory outlets on this one to full triangles and dremel the baffle to be wide open. The 2nd one will have the baffle the same and gills on the side. Maybe close the factory outlets on the 2nd one.
