Had to use some parts from a green one in the yellow one. But they are all running and oiling. :D

Red one is a front and rear AV saw. :aaaaa: All have rim set ups. red 3/8 7T and blue yellow 1/4 9T

Looking to trade them for rear handle saws that homeowner firewood cutter types would want.

The one I had was every bit as strong in 8 - 10 inch hardwood as my 200t. However in smaller or softer wood the faster & lighter 200t had it beat by a mile.

My 200T was a unreal beast after fixing it's issues. I still liked the muffler modded 338's for 1 handing and handling etc better. The solo 40cc TH had nice AV but less then other 2 in cuts.

I just got these to trade to folks and know folks looking for the AV version. Worst case scenario I have 3 more running th saws.
So no biggie and the roller nose bars will prob stay for my echo and micros.

I did some comparrison of an s-25 and a Stihl 020AV top handle some time ago .As I recall the weight was the same and the cut was about the same .The balance was better on the Stihl if used one handed as a lot of trimmers do .The s-25 is not a true top handle .I think back in the day more s-25's were used for firewooders than trim saws .I know I put a lot of hours on mine when I sold firewood .

I've got a couple of Husky 335's I really haven't done much with .Don't quite have the grunt of a 200T ,nice balance.

As I recall, my 200t was well over a pound lighter than the S25 I had. it was very noticable. Single handed it's 200t all the way, but two handed the S25 wins by a good bit as,far as ergonomics go.

A 200t and an 020AV top handle are not one in the same .a 200T and an 020T on the other hand are .

Picked these two up last night. The one with the bar/chain on it has good compression, will likely run with just the normal cleaning and new fuel lines. The second one is missing a pull cord so I don't know if it turns over. Guy also has a 2.0 craftsman model just like these that I will be going to pick up next week (he sent me a pic of it after I left his house, d'oh!)

I don't really have much interest in them, was just gonna make the one run and try to turn them around. I already have two of these series in Craftsman livery, plus the third I'm getting from him next week. Anyone have a soft spot for these and want them? Bar is 14" with 3/8 LP.

I liked my 338's for 1 handing over my 200. But the 200 I had was super in the cuts. Even won a TH bumblebee class 2 cut race with it. Before the good PS chains came out. man if we would have had that back then.

Now my question for ya @sawfun My red one has the 3/8lp 7 rim. I also have 2 like new 3/8lp 6 spur drums I thought about swapping in.
Have you ever tested to see if the 38cc had the grunt to pull in say 9" better with 7 over 6?
I know my echo 39cc with 12" buried in ash was nice with 3/8lp 7.

Also the yellow and blue have 1/4" 9 rims. Which I figure I will change once I try the 1/4" chain out after I sharpen it.

Checking weight because I am thinking you are dead on. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/chain-saw-weights/

If it was a 020AV I dont think I have the weight of the older saw. 020T and 200T same same.

200 8lbs 2.9oz
338 2139 8lbs 4.9oz
s25da 9lbs 3.2oz
micro series 205 8lbs 3.8oz
micro 2000 8lbs 5.8oz

I'll give it all a test someday when things slow down.

What size engine is in the 3400?
I got a guy at work been trying to get one running. Saying that he is going to try one more time and then I can have it. This guy is not very mechanically minded. Poor feller I'd still like to have his saw. I might just help him out.

3.4 cubic inch/56cc. 3700, 3800 and 4000 are the same saw except bigger piston and cylinder.

Ok I have a off topic question. I looked in the technical area and
Didn't find any info. From what I have read in this thread and in some on a different website that I will not mention, y'all are some or the smartest fellers I have read behind.
I have 8 gallon of direct injection outboard engine oil. Can I use it to make 2 cycle gas. I know that you could like in the late 80s and 90s but I'm not sure if it was direct injection 2cycle oil or just 2cycle oil. What is the difference between the 2? Someone help me out here please.
