So I'm assuming that this is most likely a 3500? Why couldn't poulan have just put it somewhere or am I over looking it?

3500 small 49 carb, small intake, low covers, different air filter and older series before the 3750 380 etc.

Clutch cover usually has the 3500 on it unless sticker is worn off.

It's missing the clutch cover. Would someone be able to add the parts off of a 3750/380? I am just curious because it sounds like the updated version's of the 3500 are better equipped.

Yep 2 of us on my site did that. I used the 3450 tank and added big carb big intake to my 365.

Another member dremeled out the hole on his small intake tank and then used bigger intake and carb.

We have a thread on this on my site if you want the info. Just dont want to hear anyone whine because I provided you a link with all the info already done. ;)

I was told grey was 3400 only... if not I need to get model number. Would be sweet if it's another 3.7

Have a look and see if there is a 358.XXXXX number somewhere on the stickers.

Failing that, put a popsicle stick or plastic straw through the exhaust port to the back of the cylinder and bring the piston up with enough force to mark the stick or straw. Measure from the mark to the end of the stick / straw.

1.81" = 3400
1.88" = 3800
Very nice example no mater what it is. Congrats!

It looks to be a 3800. The 3400 and 3800 have thick rings, chrome piston, aluminum bore. The 3700 and 4000 have thin rings, aluminum piston, chrome bore.
