I run 130-140 on 7.5" & 30". Trying a field at 120 this year.
Well I guess I’m trying a field at 120 also.

Looks pretty darn clean! Has it been patched up much?View attachment 185256
Then went to a farm auction. This followed me home. Been looking for a while.

What kind of population do you guys plan 15 inch beans?
I planted some the other day kinda light.....Not on purpose but I ended up coming out around 120,000 per acre.
I normally run 150,000ish..

And a 986 pulling a 10 row John Deere 18" bean planter, with loaded duals. Thought you might like this. As it is all gone now No but the fenders have holes that were eaten from the underside up. I'll probably do some patching work later on.Looks pretty darn clean! Has it been patched up much?
I went and looked at a used 6 row Kinze today for sale. Seems like good planters. This is one that is very similar to a JD 7000. If we were in west TN, they would buy us a new one, but since we don’t have duck, we do what we can. I put a top drive system in our 7000, and we have very little problems now.Not bad at all, in pic #1 you just swap out sprockets on top & bottom with sprockets in pic #2, mix & match accordingly to get your preferred rate. Pic #3 shows the whole set up, if you want a rate of less than 161k you swap out the big sprocket on the back to a 15 tooth & you can plant lower rates. Book lists all rates for each sprocket combo.
