View attachment 185298Went out this morning to find neighbors calves had got out, crossed the highway and were in my yard and garden.
Did you have him trim back some overgrown fence rows for the inconvenience of letting him land in your yard???A guy stopped me this afternoon while I was planting and asked me if he could land a helicopter in the yard.

130,000ish around here. But we are using older plate equipment. Is thatWhat kind of population do you guys plan 15 inch beans?
I planted some the other day kinda light.....Not on purpose but I ended up coming out around 120,000 per acre.
I normally run 150,000ish..

How hard is it to change population on that planter? We are small time food plot planters so we have a JD 7000 and a Case IH 900 plate planter. So we just give it a good WAG!I am planting for my friend & I am putting his on from 162 -170, just finished his last night. I should finish his neighbors last 30acres this morning, knocked out 200acres for him Sat & Sunday, he likes his put on @ 135-140. Then I have 280 acres for my brother he wants his put on about 162, hopefully I can get most of it knocked out before it starts raining again tomorrow night. It’s still mucky enough underneath that it’s working my friends 6155 like a rented mule (or in this case a leased mule) pulling a 12/23 Kinze. Under normal conditions I can maintain 5.5 - 5.6 mph @ 1820 rpm but alot of this years beans are being put in & about 4.8 - 4.9mph especially on his neighbors. Lots of places it is dry on top but about like Playdough underneath. It’s gotten better the last couple of days.
Not bad at all, in pic #1 you just swap out sprockets on top & bottom with sprockets in pic #2, mix & match accordingly to get your preferred rate. Pic #3 shows the whole set up, if you want a rate of less than 161k you swap out the big sprocket on the back to a 15 tooth & you can plant lower rates. Book lists all rates for each sprocket combo.130,000ish around here. But we are using older plate equipment. Is that
