I'm not on facebook, I have my "guys facebook", the forums lol.Sweet, didn’t notice that. I’ve seen saws go quick on FB marketplace in the past but I haven’t had any luck personally. Seems to be a lot of tire kickers that jerk your chain. After messaging all day yesterday, having the saw “sold” and then promptly blocked by the guy I just said screw it. It’s on eBay and that’s where this one is going to be sold.
This site has been a great place to sell saws as well. Stock saws I think it’s a buyers market with some very good values. Ported saws seem to do better since we are all well versed in what certain mods and porting jobs entail.
But I've dealt with plenty of funny business on craigslist, also on the forums, the sellers who won't post a price are typically the worst to deal with.
I sell quite a few stock saws, I think they sell real well, and I keep the ported ones for myself(at least for a while) . Just watched a mmws261 sell on here in a few mins, others will sit for a while as many don't want to pay a grand or near that for a 70cc saw, but the new 70cc saws are going for just under that so selling $1000 ported saws will become more commonplace. I sell 3-4 stock or mm saws to one ported, the market is actually a much smaller market, but saws by the right builder are highly sought after and move pretty quick, but it's harder to get a deal on them too.
One thing I've found is that there is a buyer for everything, you just have to find them, most times I'm not wanting to deal with the hassles of getting top dollar, but I sure don't want to loose money either .
