So I did okay on mine for 300, it's the newer one with the flippys .
It was probably 98% new though lol.
It's hard to believe how easy that saw is to start, first pull most times.
Got a job today that will pay for it and still put cash in my pocket .

I’ve thought that if my trimmer ever dies and I find a decent deal on a Kombi setup I might go that route, but those have yet to play out...

I had some pole saws once, could not justify keeping them, so I didn't....

Oh yeah about that, few years ago, I bought a brand new ms461 on craigslist for $600.

I was showing it to a local guy I know, he likes stihls, but he's more of a farm & ranch saw guy, he asked if I got a case with my new ms461, I told him no, he proceeds to tell me I did not get a good deal on the ms461 since I did not get a case with it, and he shows me his 029, 039, ms290, ms390, all with cases.

My thought at the time was,,,, Meh...

If Stihl designed their saws like their cases I wouldn't own Stihl saws. Worst designed POS I have ever seen. What good is a case that you can't stack? I am tempted to get the Husky square ones for that very reason, but them I only have one saw (out of a box) so...

Yeah, my 460 rancher will smoke that 461, and I got a case with it, all for only 650.
Funny how guys think, I came across the forums searching for that info as I wanted to understand the numbering system. What I found out is most of it doesn't make sense, at least on stihls, you just have to memorize what they are or search them every time you find what you think is a deal.
