I wasn't to impressed talking with him, I must have reached my one question limit, because he couldn't answer some very simple questions. Another member also tried to work with him on getting some dawgs for something that he didn't have in stock and it seemed to be a lot for him, that guy is a very easy guy to work with, so it wasn't all me .

Yes sir, that's what makes them my favorite stock plastic saw, same specs as a stock 353, too bad you can't drop a 346 top on them.

He took a chance and got a decent 288
With an eliminator "elsinore"
Cover on it

This is what I'm contemplating right now, it's about 40 min from me.
He's been steadily lowering the price on it the last couple days, I have all the parts for it here at the house except some HD tires for it. It's hard to get good rust free trucks up here, and my suburban out of Oregon is only a half ton.

What's that 454 gonna need with 240k on it?
I may give him a call in the morning.
He also just added the picture of the front, I figured it looked a lot worse from his description and the fact that he didn't have a picture of it.

I'd be more worried about the trans than the motor really. And those 454s of that time frame had some really restrictive head iirc. LS 6.0 is the way to go!

I'm sure it still has more power than my little 350.
I can get trans work done for reasonable, and they are so cheap to do on the 1500 I didn't even think about that. If I take a peak I'll look/listen closely to the trans, thanks Wayne .
