044 for sale locally. You can tell he knows a thing or 2 about saws. He's a member over on AS but I don't think here.

Had this up for sale probably 4 years ago at $400 and I wouldn't pay that for it then. Possibly would now but then I was too new and it was horribly tuned and turned my right off.

Well according to @maulhead fairy tale some Stihl distributor or distributors or individuals or angels or a flying fat guy in a sled was making "ported" saws back in the day. But no one really bought in to it so it was short lived.

After reviewing my emails from stihl, it was a wizard that ported them 044 super maggy's... back in Nov of 1989... he made it 1/2 way around the world in one night, but only got 44 saws ported, between Germany & Everett WA....

Not my saw, I saw it on another thread on here, made me laugh though, Stihls Trojan Magnum, probably a rare dealer/ distributer model like the Super Magnums
