Fuel tank doesn’t line up with any panel, gaps uneven top right and bottom left.
Can’t see a screw to hold the recoil cover on the top left, unless it’s
under the top cover, or the brake flag goes through it.

Are the two holes above the fuel tank for carb adjustment, they are pretty low down to be.

It’s a mag recoil cover. Rigid more than enough to sit on 4 points.
The caps in US most likely will be like the recent ones on 3510/4510/590/620/CSG7410.
These are Euro.
Also many loggers ask for protruding caps and necks to avoid dirt falling into the tanks - can’t please everyone.

I didn’t mention caps, but agree, a risen up neck keeps the loose bits around
the hole from falling in, would like to see it on all ope.
Mag cover I like, just looking at the images you wouldn’t know,
it resembles the plastic up front above the muffler, unless it’s mag too.

I didn’t mention caps

My bad, I meant the reason why the tank is recessed in relation to the rest of the unit is to acommodate the euro cap assembly so it wouldn’t clip operator’s pants or anything else. Us caps will be even lower. That’s what I was referring to.
The top cover, fan shroud and rear handle are obviously plastic.

Yeah it is good to see things like captive bar nuts and even the 3 half turn fasteners for the shroud. Also the air filter to intake manifold looks well thought out and reliable. But....these are all features adopted from European Pro saws that have been around for over a decade now. It would be nice to see them strive to lead the pack and do something different, something, anything that could be unique to the brand. Look, it's a quality well rounded saw that will serve its users & undoubtedly be dead reliable. It's built well with quality you would expect from a reputable pro saw. Looks to have adopted external transfer covers too. But seems once again Echo has taken the middle of the road and just wants to make a good well build average saw they can sell on price. Great news for the farmer/firewood guy who wants value for money in the 70cc class, average news for professionals attached to the top 2. It kinda saddens me as saws are getting awfully boring as everyone seems to be doing the same thing in different colours.

I don't know, but the new Makita - Dolmar 5000 uses .058 chain, while the previous model, my Dolmar 5105, uses .050+ chain. Some kind of a new Japanese or German regulation??
Not sure. Around here .058 is almost extinct. I just bought a 7301 so the Echo probably won’t happen this year but if I do buy one I’ll have to find a .050 bar. My big saws all run .050 except my 9010 and it runs .063.
