I have to admit, the looks are starting to grow on me. With the exception of the black recoil and clutch cover, and the throttle trigger that looks like its about to fall out.

Its definitely not going to win any beauty contests that's for sure. As long as it runs good and balances well in hand who cares what it looks like. Like a high top husky. I've always been a function over form guy anyway.

Right on! When I'm 80+ feet in the air extended out vertical reaching for branch tips to reduction prune, or I'm trying to flop a spar and hit a 10' lay between a play structure and a shed and a house, I have zero fuks to give how the saw in my hands looks. That "stuff" is for saw polishers and lumbersexuals, amiright.

My echo 501p isn't all that sexy but it's a workhorse saw that has stood up to countless abuse over the last 4 years. I haven't run the 590/600/620 platform much because I just don't run 60cc saws that much. The little I have run them though they have struck me as just as well built as the 501. Over built even. You just don't see that in manufacturing these days. This new 70cc saw has some big shoes to fill, but I bet it does. Who the he11 cares what it looks like.
