Which was my Point.

The MS461R is perfect with a 32” bar: the 661R moves around like a late 1960’s Buick with a 36” Bar.

Yeah, some spring setups act that way.
This is getting tight for manufacturers as there seems to be more and more regulations regarding operator vibration exposure.
But it doesn't mean that 7310 will necessarily wobble around :D

I think Husqvarna is not looking to replace the 3120 when they are fazed out by emission rules. Stihl is only keeping the 880 or the new 881 around for bragging rights.

Wouldn’t you too?

Largest current production saw on the market.

The more I’m around the more goofballs I see that buy 88s because “It’s the biggest saw made.”

You’re right but you won’t be running it Francis.

A large 100cc saw serves a more important role than people give them credit. You might only use it every few months but when you need it you NEED it. I agree it’s a limited market but don’t write it off as being a thing of the past. Plenty of big ugly yard trees out there yet.

UK VAT is 20%, which means the final price is about £780, right? That sounds quite low to me, because CS-620sx costs about £730.

Anyway, in UK 572xp price is £1089, which means cs-7310sx costs about 70% of its competitor! In US 572xp is for $999, so - if Echo keeps the ratio - count yourself ;)

572 high list is 999. We can buy them for 799 all day. ;)

After checking bore stroke on 73. I like what the 572 did and was hoping echo was going to follow suit with the longer stroke small bore like 590 620. But they didnt. They went back to the same old norm. If Bill's info was correct on this.

I am hoping the guy that told me the same bore stroke on saw was same as the demo saw is wrong. I hope to see something like the 572 used in the echo.

Does anyone know the BORE and STROKE of the motor in this new Echo chainsaw? Quad ports or Dual ports? Strato or not? What kind of carburetor? Cat muffler?

Bill said same as the demo saw in same cc. That is 51x36. But also in same thread he said yesterday someone talked to Jan and suppose to be longer stroke. So up in the air just all hear say.

Who knows till one is in someones hands. I sure hope they went the way of the longer stroke like 590 620 and husky did on 572.

I would like to think they used the 37.x stroke of the 590-620 along with a 50mm bore

That makes 73.x cc just like mine. Wonder if I can get some royalties?...

Was thinking the same thing Joe. Be interesting to see if the chassis is the same/similar to the 590/620 as well. You already proved it'll handle the extra power.

I hope your right. But isnt 50x37.6 73.82 and the new echo is 73.5 they say.

Weight on paper (which means jack dittle) shows PHO 14.77lbs

Isnt the husky 48x39 if I recall right?

Yes, the 572xp is 48x39. Looks like the new echo has a way better filter setup than the cs590.
