It does look sorta similar to a 572xp I will say
Hadn't seen the clutch cover view before. The looks are growing on me. Bet it's a solid runner for a good price. Will probably need the obligatory echo muffler mod.

Stratified engines aren't that much sensitive but surely can be ported ;)

Every recent echo I've purchased and run (and that's a rather large number compared to most) has had a super restricted muffler. I understand that strato saws don't post huge gains from a muffler mod but even those saws run cooler after one. Saying strato saws don't need a muffler mod is kind of naive. I don't really give a flying fart about increased cutting speed like most. I do care about doing what's best for the saw and not what's best for the epa though.

I never said it doesn't change a thing though - just not as much as on regular scavenging units.

I always felt echo offered a good product for the price

I agree Dominic.

They’ve been lacking on their medium & large saws: hopefully this 7310 is a trend of more things to come.

Maybe they will introduce a US Compliant CS1201.

ECHO hasn't introduced a new rear handle chassis with rubbers since last decade. Think 310->352->590->4510->2511... (And JDM models of that period)
Rubbers are already gone for a while. And if my memory serves right nobody is even using them anymore in new developments.

is strato engine confirmed? I remember the little unforgettable cs-550 and they share a similar muffler, at least the shape

I agree, competition breeds greatness. I've honestly been considering a CS620PW for my 60cc saw...

Mee too, they still haven’t come down in price yet given
the 621sx release, am hoping to get one when they do.

If I had a need for a 60cc saw I would try that one.

I’ve had a 361 & a 362: they were ok but the clutches are a bit light.

I suppose this is my 60cc saw currently as it’s what I grab when the MOFO 261 becomes too small.

Which was my Point.

The MS461R is perfect with a 32” bar: the 661R moves around like a late 1960’s Buick with a 36” Bar.

Hi @Dub11
is one of the major brands calling it quits, or are they just
dropping the larger models.

I think Husqvarna is not looking to replace the 3120 when they are fazed out by emission rules. Stihl is only keeping the 880 or the new 881 around for bragging rights.

Strato - yes. Muffler is different - the halves are joined diagonally, like they used to be on some older Solos and later on Huskies.
