The weld shop at work uses a Roto Broach cutter for putting holes in thick plates. Does a nice job.Why with a mill bit though?
Using ER32. Used a thread mill to cut threads. Did not have anything to hold the big tap head we have. It has a 1.5 inch shank. We use it on a horizontal mill we have. Wasn’t bad after setting it up. Ran about 25 minutes for 9 holes.see You utilize collets to clamp Your tools.
What ER size are You using?
Will You use a one and done machine tap?
