I tried it out over the weekend. Bought an 16 or 18 ss quart pot and a bottle of black rit at Walmart. Under 20 bucks for the stuff. Filled it up just enough to submerge the plastics and kept it right below a boil for almost 2hrs. I thought it Came out good for how faded and scratched the plastics where.

Thanks, was really pleased with the turnout. The plastics where pretty faded and it seems that the black helps hide it some.

Heres my first attempt at dying plastics. I did a 235 lowes special first (just in case it went bad). Then i dyed the tank and top covers for my Stihl 046. It is @rattler for porting.
