Ok so my first attempt I'm not so sure about. In the right light it has a purple tint but mostly it looks like black.

I put some more water trying to thin it out and try again

Iam going to do the gray covers on top of my Makita with the Black.

Ok second attempt, I'm not sure which I like better. The darker purple is kinda a sneaky color, it's black until it's in the right light, then you see the purple tint. The second however is obviously purple. Guess it's just preference.

So this is what black dye does to stihl white plastics after about 30 minutes soaking. Not really mad tho, gonna let it cook a while longer and see if it turns black. But now I know that a black and blue saw is doable.

Keep going it will get there. It took mine a couple hours to get completed!
