The impact of 9-11-2001

We could run this off into a political clusterfuck pretty quickly. I'd rather see us tip our collective hats to the brave men and women that lost their lives that day. Hold them up high in your special place of honor. How, what, why.......well F that. We all know that brave people ran toward the carnage that day......and a lot of them didn't get back to their families. I want to honor those people.

The impact it had on where im from was incredible.

I saw people come together over that incident from all walks of life , were havin a memorial today for Mr.Dale and Mr.Kovalcin as well...you saw sluts better NEVER forget.

It took 2 people from my community that were on each plane that hit the towers , both went to highschool with my mom and good friend of hers ..the odds of two guys where im from on each plane that hit the towers...slim to none...crazy.

Standing on my porch watching flight 93 that went down in shanksville go over my house as low as it was was absolutely nuts...i could never forget it.

That is crazy...to actually see the plane, and then realize a little later what had happened...Wow.

My sister and BIL just walked out of the subway in NYC and saw the first plane hit the WTC. Even today she still can't shake the sight and sounds from that day. Watching people jumping out windows....f that

Shanksville is about 2 hrs from Pittsburgh , but the plane flew over my porch before it banked to head southeast ..i actually have a picture of the valley it flew over from last fall when i was puttin a ridge vent on my moms roof..i just took a pic for the hell of it.



That plane looked like it was gonna hit the bridge that you can see off in a distance...thats the turnpike..i found a dead body when i was 15 under that bridge by the train tracks..but thats a different story for another day

I was 21.
Working as a line tech for a large cable company.
All the techs were still at the head office waiting for the days work orders to be printed.
Naturally, there were at least 10 TVs in the office. We all watched the 2nd plane hit....

I was in bed when the first plane hit. Working night shift. I got woke up and seen the 2nd plane hit. We went to bed about about an hour later and woke up for work to find out everything. Security was a lot more jumpy that night at the plant.

I was in my back pasture on the dozer clearing brush. Like samakawzi 93 went pretty close to over my head(quite a bit higher). Phone ringed,wife said get to a tv. I was on an office job at work at the time. Guys out on the road said it was a real zoo.


My son was nine at the time. I remember thinking the war will be over by the time he's old enough to serve.

He hasn't enlisted,but he has become a fireman.

It was DEAD silent that day , weird as hell when i drove through...it was almost like a steven king movie.

I've ben there a few times, the weirdest time was couple weeks after impact there was a small shrine there out of pallets and fence if memory serves me right with all kinds of pics and small items of remembrance tied to it. A local lady said there was two Bibles that were intact beside the impact site also one of the hijackers head rag. Some how that was never in the news. The story is definitely alot different from locals than what we all heard on the news. GOD REST THERE SOULS.
