Dave, you might be that ONE GUY that wants to put a Cummins diesel in a Packard .....

maybe a lightened flywheel, new HL carb, sweet talk @Homelite410 into a shotgun open muffler
as I bought it, it was supposed to be a runner
she will need some love and cleaning for sure...and welding...and powder...perhaps a voodoo ritual or two

Well........at least the Diaphragm Set (DG-2HL) seems to be readily available.

No luck with the RK-10HL or the RK-626

I broke the impulse nipple off when assembling the first Twin, so stole the one from the 110. Today I attempted to make a couple replacements. The steel one was made from a bolt and the brass one for a double ended brass hose barb. The original was brass. I'll assemble with red Loctite for a positive seal.

All new screws/bolts were ordered today...cheese heads.

I made an attempt at repairing my coil. I'm still holding out for a replacement.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pics in progress. I stripped the plastic away from the wire and solder new wire to it. I then built up around it with JBWeld. Not pretty, but...

Brad lay your carb diaphragms out along with the needle and seat and take a pic.
I have several kits for the HL. The big difference between the kits is the needle
and seat. I've seen I think 3 different ones in length.
I remember putting a kit in my twin but can't remember which kit.

I noticed that when I was searching for a kit that would work.
Needle & seat combo seemed to be the only real differences

The rubber seal didn't come out with the brass the first time I removed it.

Brad, I need the total length of the needle but it's looking like the
RK-88-HL kit but the kit will have a later style needle where the
lever hooks into the needle. This keeps the needle from sticking
in the seat.

Also make sure you replace the copper washer that is in the bore
where the seat goe's. You will need to remove the old one with a
pick of some sort.

I didn't know if anything else had to come out or not.

Done! I hope the kit has one.
