Road-clearing work the other day - I cut a 27'10", a 17'10", and a 35'10" in Western Hemlock - standard log lengths for Hemlock here. This unit will be logged this winter so these
will likely get shipped.

That’s friggin disgusting. I cannot believe the people of British Columbia put up with that!
This really opened my eyes to what is going on out west and I hope it does with many more people.
Thank you for posting.

Reminds me of the north Atlantic cod fishery collapse because the politicians were afraid to shut it down so it could recover.

I found this interesting.

thanks for sharing this it’s a issue that’s been a sore point for along time
When coal was being phased out a new era started and they expanded and took big risks For years boatloads of chip came out of Mississippi and came into Liverpool docks

Back 15yrs Our nearest main train station had and investment from drax
And all of a sudden a wood yard appeared and round timber was being piled high
In 3m lengths ready to go by rail straight to drax power station

there’s so much political and top tier forestry indrustry bull**
Attached with these big companies and subsidies on top
That the contractors didn’t have much choice but get involved
