Found these yesterday I was stoked match set 15ft apart

I will be taking my boy out for Spring bear in two weeks, we have a killer rock Bluff that we hunt up Burnt not far from Skeeter camp. My buddy and his family took three out of the same hole last spring. My son is super excited. I am a bit on edge, I should have been stocking upon 6.5 for the last year. I have a box and a half and that will be enough to get me sighted in with the new scope.
Thanks for sharing the picture, I am hoping to find some sheds this year down there.

It was a piece that was bound for pulp it had been sitting for a few years. Once we took a decent slab off the top and sides I’ll get probably 10 of those boards plus a few others of smaller dimensions.

Got a few redwood logs today. Pretty rare around these parts, and they were free also. Going to mill them. Left log in the picture is 36” on the big end and 32” on the small. One in the excavator I’ll grab tomorrow and is 4’ on the small end. 5’/6’ oval on the big end. 14’ long.

No idea, everyone does stuff different than we do here. Everything here is either cut to 102 or 114 inches. You guys with your mixed length logs, I wish we could do that!

Out here length helps carry defects. But how fast are you losing diameter?
