Yeah better take the aftermarket dogs off during fireseason. Don't forget the maxflow. Them stock saws must really get rid of the heat ......:eeeeek: lol .
:beer-toast1:

I don’t agree with their madness either but I sure wouldn’t want to get stuck with their bill either though.

They usually won't check inside a saw unless you've actually started a fire. I think more fires are started with heavy equipment than with saws.

I’d wager a good share of them are started by hot saws for cutting and cable operations including tethering. One thing I’ve never cared for or liked about yo yo your butt down the slope is the guys are always burning across something be it a stump or a log.

Yarding has definitely started a lot of fires. I was on a fire up at Steamboat in '93 that was started by the carriage on a high lead show. They had the main slung down low on the back of the unit so they could clear off a finger ridge that took off 90 degrees from the edge of the sale and started a fire near the tailhold. We stopped that one at about 40 acres.

Agee had a fire in 2000 out at Tyee from a shovel that had lost its' muffler. They had the exhaust straight-piped, pointing down. That fire burned a lot of fell and bucked old growth. Whitaker had a fire east of Sutherlin in 2002, from the yarder, but I never found out if it was the rigging or the machine itself that started it. There was also a rigging fire up the Days Creek road in 2006 but I can't remember which outfit was logging that piece. That one ended up at 60 acres.

Desecrated my beloved Jonsered with a Husky side cover. I bought the Cannon adapters to run my Stihl mount tsumura bars but the pin on the Jonsered adjuster is a little too square to fit.

Yeah, you need to drill out the tensioner holes on Stihl bars when converting to some Husqvarna/Jonsered saws.
