My next project is coming together here in the next few weeks but I think my back is going to hate me.

Falling or milling?

Both

Is that going on a 395?

No 60 is about all that little 395 will suffer I have a 3120 to run it and the 60 from now on.

I've wondered if those bars are any good let me know wood ya

It’ll be interesting I’m not sure how it would do when taking a face but if it’s anything like my 60” Cannon you’ll have to start a cut with another saw.

60 inch fat belly cannon roller nose bars are what I used to fell a hand full of timber in my time. It was about the max length before cuts started drooping from bar flex.

Normally if you start them with a pilot cut they won’t droop.

The trees I've had a hard time with were oval cedars, and the face needed cut on the narrow part. Pilot or not only a third of the bar was in the tree with the face almost cut out! I found it worked better to cut with center of bar on those odd shape stumps, that way I'm supporting some of the bar with the powerhead

Problem I had with anything over 52 inch on a 395 is keeping bar nuts tight, and I broke alot of tensioners with the 60 inch. Went with a 3120 then, but that saw was a handfull. One strip that had a few cedar pickles I had to pack that dang saw about half mile over blowdown and up and down 2 ravines. I was plum tired when I got to the trees.

Did you have full wrap handlebars already? I believe you cannot get fullwrap handlebars for 3120’s anymore?
