We're pretty lucky here - we got a good bunch of old boys on this forum that take care of business and look out for each other.

Things are looking better here around Estacada. The real problem is the dirtbags trying to steal stuff. We had a meeting at the Grange two nights ago, people in the rural neighborhoods are very well armed and we have been taking shifts patrolling.
Hats off to the people on the frontlines and the community coming together. I know of several friends who lost everything and several loggers who lost alot equipment in the Riverside fire.

My house is fine, still no power, going on 8 days. Pretty scary stuff up here right now.

I'm sorry to hear about the looting Ryan - I know they caught some guys on the Holiday Farm fire who had already broken into a couple of homes. A bunch of armed locals are patrolling the fire area up in Glide
because they've already caught one scumbag trying to steal equipment off of a contractor's property.

That may be true, we live up a dead end road with about 20 5 acre lots. We are all blue collar workers who monitor people coming and going.
I totally understand your point what are you supposed to do these days. This makes me sick that somebody else could take advantage of somebody else's property in these desperate times. After talking to the local sheriff's and State Police they were really excited and onboard about what the community is doing with property owners guarding there property with guns.
The bigger problem is social media and the false reports coming into the Dispatch Center.
