The end of an icon......the final (2) 395 Husqvarna saws

For a few years now have been hearing rumors that the 395 is going to be NLA in the USA.................



I bought (4) new ones in 2022 when their death was rumored

Then I bought (4) new ones in 2023 as the rumors were still running wild

Then in 2024 for the hell of it I bought (4) more new ones.

Well as we near the end of 2025 Bruce says these are the last (2)

I have an older Husqvarna 395 that was made in Sweden. Some folks desire them over the ones made in Brazil. I will not enter that debate as I find the 395 to be a damn sweet saw no matter what tag is on it. This saw is not my personal saw, it belongs to one of the fallers here. He just has plenty of spares at this time and wants to make room. It is a used saw that has cut a lot of timber here and done a damn good job of it. I love the saws and so do all the folks in my area. I fired it up tonight and took a youtube video. I will try to link it. I ran a comp test and it looked good. I have...

SOLD Thread 'Husqvarna 395'

Here is another of the Husqvarna 395's. This was bought new in December 2021 and was used for falling here. It is a well seasoned saw but is still decent and clean. It was retired because it was getting a lot of time on it. The compression reading shows that. It has sat a spell but was running and cutting last week albeit hard starting. As you will see from the pictures the piston looks good but the compression reading is only 105. She is going to need freshened up. The only aftermarket part I know of is the chain brake. One of the muffler bracket bolts is also missing. I want to be...

Edit: Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

They will sit in the boxes unopened until needed to replace saws that get retired from falling.
Who knows when that will be as some get retired earlier than others.........especially when a guy forgets where a saw is sitting, grabs a tree with the excavator and swings it right on the saw.................

I was surprised how well this one did with a 50” cannon, 52AJ. It pulled strong and oiled just fine in near 60” dead, almost dry Maple.
Only thing I’ve done to it is a basic muffler mod.

Tried my 288 first and it was not happy
Muf mod, BGD, some minor porting, near 200# comp…no decomp.

I've always been a firm believer of holding precious metals, gold, silver, brass and lead, I might have to add new pieces of magnesium and aluminim to that list, heck anything is better than holding dollars.
