Wait until you get the other one to mess with. They accept mods quite well. Just a muff mod and gasket delete makes it act like a different saw. That’s how my brother is running his. I ported mine, it was good then I advanced the timing and it really came to life. They have good port timing out of the box.
I'm a bit surprised that advancing the timing didn't jack up the fuel injection timing at the same time. Interesting 🤔

Sadly that one was cancelled today in favor of a 562xpg instead. Logging can't wait for Husqvarna but so long, and there's no telling when the xpg will be available when they don't even have all the XP's they sold out yet. Can't blame a fella that needs the tool to do the job to make a living with. That's okay there will be more to come along eventually.
No doubt, both of the ones I got are XPG’s. I got them from a different dealer. I was getting impatient. I’ll get another one when ever Bruce gets them in. They are so dam smooth, run well and the simplicity of working on is a big draw for me. I sold 2 of my 572’s which worked out for these to come in. I wasn’t even intending on selling the 572’s really. Had a logger call asking if I had anything, he took one. Another guy bought a 565 I had and he bought a 572 too, hell of a deal.

Well, I wouldn't stop cutting with it to pick up one, put it that way.

I cut up some firewood and was again a bit struck by how smooth and the level of control over what I was doing. I'm not the best cutter out there by any means, this made me look like I knew what I was doing. I shut it off for a time and then made a video hot starting it and making a cut in a larger log. Which it seemed to do fine, granted I have no idea just how hot I got the saw, so don't take this too seriously. I wonder if others having issues are compounded by poor or bad canned fuel. At any rate I thought I would see what would happen and it was much to do about nothing for now. More time and experiences should get a better perspective of what is happening to some and why.
Even with the intake things you found with the 592xps this winter ,I still think it's one of the best big saws I've ever used and smooth ( for me) .
I think if this 564xp doesn't have software or heat problems every guy/girl doing trail work is gonna want one! The 562xp "latest version" is absolutely loved by park Rangers doing trail clean up.

More likely than not, there's a procedural learning curve that comes with new tech, those more eager to adapt will experience better success.
As discussed, between visiting @bradb123 and I this morning an example is to prime before you attempt to restart the saw, not after having failed to restart only.
I personally believe that the saw is just too darn handy to ignore and things will work themselves out, whether from the consumer end or the manufacturer's or both.

Interesting that AdvT gave good results.
On my 564xpg I will open the muffler as step 1.

I’d say they are well worth the hype. If you’re not a complete power nut always looking for more the muffler mod and gasket delete will be the most modding the saw will ever need. I’m getting a second XPG whenever Bruce gets them in

Can't hurt a thing by doing so for folks following along, fuel just goes through, right back into the tank where it came from. Just makes the fuel present at the fuel injector (or carburetor on autotune carb saws) and won't flood the engine one bit.

No the priming part don’t but the pulling over before purging definitely has an effect
