I'm just posting from an android phone. I noticed that you have a 1 mb limit.......AS has a 8.5 mb limit.

You can resize your pics to 1024x768 or 800x600 and size will decrease dramatically. (save as a different name, so you'll keep original).
I like Irfanview - freeware. http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm (this is Windows - dunno about Mac or Linux. or Android)
Load pic, Ctrl R, 1024, S {new name}

Ok, now you can upload up to 9MB, but it'll resize the physical footprint size automatically to a maximum of 1200 pixels wide and a maximum of 1200px high (or whatever the aspect ratio of your original image was).
