This the new good morning thread??

Al, ya can't be telling people the only reason these saws run is the deflectors dot dot dot.

Very clean work, can't wait to see the video.

Al does some perty work for sure. very nice.

still think angelo will keep running the 372 :)

I dunno Matty, I have two 372s one is bone stock and one I bought from Jeff (@Carbine ) procarbine2k1 over on AS a few years ago. I ran Jeffs a few times and could not get it to idle at all. So I put it away figuring it was a bad carby or seals or any other malady. No biggie. It was a used saw, and if you buy used you better be able to wrench on them some....well I hate wrenching on husky's.
Long story short one day I decided to "fix" the idle....by running it till it blew so I would have to go through the entire saw....it didn't blow, started to idle well and started running like a mean sob....needless to say, my MS 440 sat on the shelf...

Then Al says...."hey I just cut some band out of a 440 and man that thing really woke up.." You got a 440 right ?...and the rest, they say, is History....

And now Al says I can't have my saw back unless I pick it up at Dans GTG in CT next month....I think that's "saw napping " isn't it ? And I have to bring the 372 to run against it...

Somewhere in this long winded story is a big smoothie kiss and a thank you to Al.

If you need a hand wrenching you can always check my bolt for bolt vids on youtube.

If you do make it to the gtg, I will be there, and would love to meet ya. I don't know what saws I will bring. Right now i'm planning on brinding my 350, a doc Al ported 262, and a ported 394. If you need me to bring my 372 i can do that as well.

I should just start sending Al all my cylinders :)

thanks for the offer Matt,
Im Calabrese which in Italian means "hard headed" I learn the hard way because that's the only way that sticks in this stubborn head....vids do help though...so does having a few good friends from all around the world that meet up all day long in this innerweb thingee.

looking forward to making a few more friends at the GTG.....( and getting my saw back !!!)

My vids are meant to be a reference and a guide to help you along the way. You can follow bolt by bolt if you wish, or fly by the seat of your pants like I do when I'm making them. The nice thing is that if you get stuck, the vids are there to help....permanently. I love youtube because it is and will be a longstanding reference for information that doesn't go bad. These pieces of equipment we work with will have staying power for many years to come, and having a ready reference I believe is invaluable, hard headed or no :)

love meeting new peoples at the gtg... see you at Dans :)
