You know fellas, the more we talk about keys to a happy marriage and a relationship the clearer it should become that the ultimate key is the realization that you should never stop learning and growing with your better half. With that being said, the next time you find yourself in an argument with your wife, instead of trying to win, argue or prove your point simply shut up and stop making it worse than it really needs to be. Afterwards quietly slip away and get her a gift card to her favorite restaurant or store to shop at. She will understand that you really do care and appreciate her for everything she does. That is until she goes to use it and realizes that you really just gave her a piece of worthless plastic with absolutely no value to it. That will help her learn that you are the master of delayed gratification and that she should never have started that fight in the first place

Sometimes I don't even bother with changing it in my truck. It'll be right again soon enough. The most important one is the coffee pot. I want my coffee ready when I get up.

Many years ago when I worked for the Corps of Engineers the guys on third shift got screwed in the Spring. We worked straight 8 hour shifts. The 3rd shift was Midnight to 8AM and when the clocks were set ahead they only worked 7 hours. They were forced to take 1 hour of annual leave. Of course those on 3rd shift in the Fall got an hour of overtime.

Back when I worked Saturday nightshifts I'd hate either clock move!

If moved forward I'd loose 1 hour of pay or I'd have to work during the break to make up for the workpieces.

If moved backwards I'd still have to stay at work till 6AM turning the 8 hour shift into a 9 hour shift and not getting paid for the extra hour.
Sure, I technically didn't have to work for an hour, but I was at work in a nightshift for an hour more which sucked.
