I got a hardline mounted on my rat rod 064.
Works great
I also tried one with a clamp ant it read the same as the one with the wire coiled around the ignition lead

i'm liking this tach.refresh rate is a tad slow and it doesnt have the 3 cylinder 2 stroke mode.seems to be a little more reliable with the remote wire.
was only off 52 rpm too fast on idle and 1000 rpm too slow on my 357xp.pretty good to be nearly def in my saw tunin ear.

Well guys I got that hardline tach.... Crazy fast shipping from guy I got it off if on the "bay".....anyway played with it some, I can see why the refresh rate is so important.....I think it will work great how I mounted it on my ms461....I do think I still need to get a tach that I use for all saws, with a fast refresh rate...

I like running the saw with a tach on it. Here's my trail tach on one of my 346's
NCM_0277.JPG No issues with the trail tach had it for a couple years now.

Yes sir, I mounted mine too..... I tell ya I mounted it to the top-cover with the double sided tape..... I wonder how long it will a actually stay there???

If and when it comes off I will find a better way to mount it..... I plan on keeping the saw forever so we will see....

I just did mine like in pic so I can put it on other saws as well.
That's a good idea.... Also I like that 346.... I have never ran one, but have heard they are a damn good saw....

No am goin to leave that tach on the ms461 permanently, but will get another tach to use on all my other saws, and future rebuilds:..

Do you like the trail tachs I have never had one...
