Let me ask you this, as I am NOT well versed in tachs (sorry)...are the hard line tachs made to put on one chainsaw or motor and leave it....

And what is the best tach to just check RPMs from saw to saw, not an hour meter just to check RPMs....

Thanks for your guys help, I have been messing with saws long enough to have a good tach...

Hardlines are cheap, buy 3 of them and put em on your most used saws

Agreed just ordered another one tonight. I like having it mounted on the saw.
You can use it from saw to saw if you want just wrap the wire around the spark plug wire or add a clip to clip it to the spark plug wire.

Have it on a couple, and have a stand-alone that I wrap and zip-tie the wire lead to the plug wire of saws when I'm messing around and trying to tune a little.

Negative...the wire must be used for it to receive it's impulse signal for RPM's and to activate the hour meter function (start clocking).

I have a dti tt 20k and love it. I got mine from amicks as they are only about a 30 min drive from me but they sell online as well not sure who else has them.

Well the tiny tach sounds good but with a lot of people reporting issues i am thinking twice about chasing one.
I cant sent it cack to them as easily either.
